Job description
The major objective of the BetaTrain project is to train the next generation of multi-disciplinary researchers that will address the major medical and socio-economic challenges posed by diabetes in the 21th. century. In BetaTrain we aim at improve the imaging technology for detection of live beta cells in vivo and ex vivo and to cross-validate different in vivo imaging modalities with functional and laboratory tests in animal models in order to create a powerful platform for integrated in vivo characterisation of living beta cells and individuals with impaired glucose tolerance.
